I am sure you would've known or at least heard about the fastest human computer Shakuntala Devi, but just recently someone broke Shakuntala Devi's record and again he is from India. Meet the Math prodigy Neelakantha Bhanu Prakash born on 13th October 1999, he has won the prestigious gold medal in the 2020 Mental Calculation World Championship at Mind Sports Olympiad making him the world's fastest human calculator.
He has been continuously testing his mathematical capabilities and is keen to grow in this field. He also hold 50 Limca records under his name for his mental calculations in different categories. Bhanu has completed 9 levels of Abacus, a grandmaster programme offered by SIP Academy. He has also won the International Abacus Champion 2013 and National Abacus Champion 2011 & 2012, and Math Genius Award in 2015.
Bhanu also has a start-up named ‘Exploring Infinities(EI)’ which is working with the Government of Telangana and through which he has able to engage 10,000+ students in the past years.
Neelakantha had his schooling from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School (Vidyashram) Hyderabad. Bhanu graduated in Maths from St Stephen College, Delhi.
How Neelakantha Bhanu found his mathematical geniuses?
You might think he was born a maths genius, but that's not the case for Bhanu. When he was five years old, he met with an accident which left him bedridden with a head injury for a year that sparked his amazing maths journey. Since he was bed-ridden and could not do much but think, he picked up mental maths calculations for survival, to keep his brain engaged.
I am attracted by the info which you have provided in the above post quick math. It is genuinely good and beneficial info for us. Continue posting, Thank you.
