- 2022 - India lost to Bangladesh in the first match of the 3-match ODI series.
- 2022 - The first Sherpa Meeting of India’s G20 presidency, chaired by G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant, commences today in Udaipur. Delegates and G20 Sherpa from various countries were given a rousing welcome at the Maharana Pratap Airport, in Udaipur.
- 2021 - PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor, which will likely cut the travel time between the two cities from six to two-and-a-half hours. Modi inaugurated the project, which is being built at the cost of around Rs 8,300 crore. The project will have seven major interchanges for connectivity to Haridwar, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Yamunanagar, Baghpat, Meerut and Baraut.

- 1973 - Anand Ranganathan is an author, and research scientist(Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology) and is generally seen on TV news channels as a panellist discussing national and international issues. He has authored a wide range of books, like: 'Land of the Wilted Rose, 'Love & Honour', 'Rat Eater' and his latest book Souffle (a finely whipped tale of murder & deceit). He is also the Consulting Editor & Columnist of Swarajya.
- 1963 - Syed Javed Ahmed Jaffrey is an Indian film actor, dancer and comedian. He has appeared in several Bollywood films and Indian television shows. He is the son of the comedian Jagdeep. He joined the Aam Aadmi Party in March 2014 and contested the 2014 Indian general election from the Lucknow constituency, finishing fifth.

- 2022 - Yoginder K Alagh was a well-known economist, former minister and emeritus professor at Ahmedabad-based Sardar Patel Institute of Economic and Social Research (SPIESR). He studied at the University of Rajasthan and later got a doctorate degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He passed away at his home in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on 6th December 2022.
- 2021 - Vinod Dua was an Indian journalist who worked in Doordarshan and NDTV India. In 1996, he became the first electronic media journalist to be bestowed with the esteemed Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award. He was awarded the Padma Shri for Journalism in 2008 by the Government of India.
