- 2022 - Virat Kohli smashed the most runs in T20 World Cup history. Kohli in an innings against Bangladesh in their T20 World Cup 2022 match, overtook former Sri Lanka Captain Mahela Jayawardena's record of 1016 runs in the T20 World Cup. Kohli crossed Jayawardena's mark in just 23 innings.

- 1995 - Nivetha Thomas is an Indian film actress who appears in Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil language films. She is best known for Ninnu Kori and Gentleman. Thomas made her debut with the 2008 Malayalam film Veruthe Oru Bharya, for which she won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist.

- 1877 - Aga Khan III, Indian 48th Shia Imam. He died in the year 1957.
- 1833 - Mahendralal Sarkar, physician and academician, a homoeopath doctor, social reformer and propagator of scientific studies. He died in the year 1904.

- 2022 - Elaben Bhatt was a renowned woman empowerment activist, Gandhian and founder of the Self-Employed Women’s Association (SEWA). Elaben passed away on 2nd November following a brief illness at an Ahmedabad hospital in Gujarat. She was 89 years old. She received India's fourth-highest civilian honour Padma Shri in 1985 and the third-highest civilian honour, the Padma Bhushan, in 1986. For her efforts in empowering women through entrepreneurship, she received the Gandhi Peace Prize in 2011. She also won the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Community Leadership in 1977.
- 2022 - Jambey Tashi was an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Arunachal Pradesh, serving as the MLA of the 1-Lumla constituency. He was also a Member of the National Minority Morcha, BJP. Tashi had previously been a member of the Indian National Congress and People's Party of Arunachal. He dies on 2nd November 22 following an illness at the age of 48.
