- 1982 - Divya Spandana who was known professionally as Ramya is an Indian film actress and politician who was the Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from Mandya, Karnataka. She primarily works in Kannada film industry, but also appears in Tamil and Telugu language films. Ramya is the recipient of two Filmfare Awards South, an Udaya Award, and a Karnataka State Film Award.
- 1963 – Lalit Kumar Modi is an Indian businessman and cricket administrator. He was the first Chairman and Commissioner of the Indian Premier League (IPL), and ran the tournament for three years until 2010. He also served as the Chairman of the Champions League during 2008–10. He was the Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) during 2005–10.
- 1936 - Subhendu Chatterjee (Born on 5th July 2007) was an Indian actor of television and films in Bengali.
- 1908 - Nagercoil Sudalaimuthu Krishnan, popularly known as Kalaivanar and also as NSK was an Indian film actor-comedian, theatre artist, playback singer and writer in the early stages of the Tamil film industry – in the 1940s and 1950s. He is considered as the "Charlie Chaplin of India."
