- 1984 - Diana Mariam Kurian, known professionally as Nayanthara, is an Indian actress who primarily works in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu-language films. Nayanthara made her acting debut in the 2003 Malayalam film Manassinakkare with Jayaram. She made her debut in Tamil cinema with Ayya and Telugu with Lakshmi. Nayanthara married Vignesh Sivan on 9th June 2022. Nayanthara had twins Uyir and Ulagam with Vignesh on 9th October 2022.
- 1979 – Neeti Mohan is an Indian singer. She sings mainly in Hindi films but has also done songs in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, and English. She rose to prominence after recording "Ishq Wala Love" from Student of the Year (2012), ultimately winning the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent and was nominated for the Best Female Playback Singer for "Jiya Re" from Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012).
- 1910 - Batukeshwar Dutt was an Indian revolutionary and independence fighter in the early 1900s. He is best known for having exploded a few bombs, along with Bhagat Singh, in the Central Legislative Assembly in New Delhi on 8 April 1929.
- 1901 – V. Shantaram, referred to as V. Shantaram or Shantaram Bapu, was a Marathi filmmaker, film producer and actor.
