2022
- South Africa defeated India by 49-runs in the third T20I in Indore. This came as India's worst-ever defeat (by runs) on Indian soil in T20I history. India's previous worst T20I defeat at home came on March 15,2016, when New Zealand defeated India by 47 runs in Nagpur. South Africa score 227/3 today, their highest-ever T20I total against India.
- India recorded their highest partnership for the 9th wicket in T20I cricket history, during the third T20I against South Africa in Indore. Deepak Chahar and Umesh Yadav shared a 48-run stand to set the record. The previous record was held by Rohit Sharma and Zaheer Khan for a 36-run stand against Australia in Bridgetown in 2010.
- Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao launched his national party and unveil its plans and policies on the eve of the Dussehra festival on October 4, 2022. The CM KCR announces the renaming of TRS as Bharatiya Rashtra Samiti (BRS).

- 2019 - Joy Thomas, the suspended managing director of crisis-hit Punjab and Maharashtra (PMC) Bank, has been arrested in an alleged Rs. 6,500 crore fraud case.
- 2019 - In an admission that may embarrass the union government, the new IAF chief Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria accepted on Friday that shooting down the Indian chopper in Jammu and Kashmir earlier this year was a "big mistake". A Mi17 V5 chopper was shot down at Budgam near Srinagar on February 27 2019.

- 1931 - Sandhya Mukherjee from Kolkata, is an Indian playback singer and composer, who mainly works for Bengali cinema. she received "Banga Bibhushan", the highest civilian honour in West Bengal in 2011 and National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for her songs in the films "Jay Jayanti" and Nishi Padma in the year 1970.

- 2022 - Deepak Nirula, the son of Madan Gopal Nirula who made the fast food brand Nirula's. The Nirula family sold the brand name to Navis Capital Partners in 2006. Deepak Narula passed away at 70 on October 4 2022.
