A water-fuelled car that runs without driver by Raees Markani |
Meet the man Mohd. Raees Markani, 44, a mechanic by profession from Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. He came up with this eco-friendly car that runs on a fuel as cheap as Rs 10 to 20 per litre.
Concerned about rising pollution level and depleting resources like fossil fuels, he started his experimentation to run his old vehicle with water. In order to achieve this, he tried to explore alternatives to petroleum products and found calcium carbide which on reacting with water produces acetylene gas. He started his experimentation with water and Calcium Carbide since 2007 and now he able to harness the true potential of acetylene gas released after the reactions of water and calcium carbide. Apart from its usage in welding field this gas also finds its use in mining as portable lighters.
He then designed an engine which can use the acetylene gas as a fuel to propel its motor piston and is comparable to any 796cc engine. With this engine the car can attain the speed of around 50 - 60kms per hour.
He didn't stop at this but also automated his car to run on its own without any driver while he can control his car using the mobile phone.
He got offers from many multinational companies which includes one from China, he refused all the offers and stuck to his motherland nation India.
We salute the true spirit of nationalism of Mohd. Raees Markani and congratulate him for this achievement.
